About product
A tall cylindrical milk jug, popularly known as a “milk vessel”. It is made according to traditional templates of pottery production from the Gemer region. Hand-thrown on a potter’s wheel from white clay. In the area below the neck, it is decorated with painted band décor, made up of lines and wavy patterns of various thicknesses, from dark brown and reddish-brown clay. The décor is dominated by a thick band, through which a broken ornament runs. Glazed on the inside with transparent glaze, the neck and handle are glazed with green glaze on the outside. The majority of the vessel is unglazed on the exterior.
