About product

Pitcher with a narrow neck and handle, popularly known as a “cepak.” The narrow neck protects against warm air access and keeps the liquid in a cooler state for longer. Made according to traditional pottery patterns from the Gemer region. Hand-thrown on a pottery wheel from white clay. The section below the neck is decorated with a painted striped design consisting of lines and swirls of various thicknesses, made from dark brown and reddish-brown clay. The decoration is dominated by a thick band of brown lines, interrupted by an intricate pattern. The interior is glazed with a transparent glaze, while the neck and handle are glazed in green on the outside. The larger part of the vessel on the outside remains unglazed.
