Woven tape made on a loom from linen and cotton threads woven in a plain weave. The tapes were used to decorate cuffs, sewn onto skirts, aprons, shirts, banners, and men’s shirts. For their strength, they were also used in agriculture for tying sacks, as straps, and similar purposes.
