The headband from a headscarf is a dense multi-pair lace hand-knitted from thick cotton yarn. Red thread is also used to crochet teeth on one edge of the lace. The ends are edged with a strip of red cardboard. Headbands made from a straight strip of lace were made in Liptov in the 19th century, lace crocheting in an arc was a matter of the 20th century, mainly in the first half.
