She was close to crafts from an early age, as she grew up in a village where traditional products were a part of her life. Embroideries, crocheted doilies, wicker baskets, and baskets made of husks surrounded her, as well as leather horse harnesses and carved troughs. She began working with wire in 2007 after completing a craft course at the Craft and Art Association, where she was taught by craft masters Ladislav Jurovatý Jr. and Oľga Obertová.
She works with galvanized, silvered or copper wire, sometimes also using wooden accessories, semi-precious stones or beads. For sculptures and reliefs, she mainly utilises looped weaving, while for jewelry she employs free wire shaping. Janette Imrová finds inspiration in the beauty of nature, spirituality, handwork, and life in general. She believes that beauty makes people better and hopes that she contributes to that through her creations.
