The plate is handthrown on a potter’s wheel, once fired, coated with white opaque glaze, adorned with a painted botanical yellow-blue, or green-blue decoration, fired a second time in an electric ceramic kiln.
Vlastimil Havlíček trained at the Majolika Modra School of Applied Arts, where he worked for some time. In the 1980s, he became independent and worked for the ULUV (Center for Folk Art Production) as a majolica maker.
