About product
Tall jug for milk of cylindrical shape, commonly called a “milk pot”. Made according to traditional models of pottery production from the Gemer region. Hand-turned on a potter’s wheel from white clay. In the section below the neck, it is decorated with a painted stripe decoration, composed of lines and swirls of different thicknesses, made from dark brown and reddish-brown clay. The decoration is dominated by a thick band of reddish-brown line, with a broken ornament running through it. Glazed on the inside with a transparent glaze, the neck and handle glazed on the outside with a green glaze. The larger part of the vessel from the outside is unglazed.
