About product
Handcrafted red clay plate, wheel-thrown. Narrow bottom and wide fluted walls. Floral motif at the bottom shaped like a bouquet, two yellow five-petal flowers, yellow tulip, blue and green leaves. Two blue rings around. Walls of the plate are undecorated. White glaze. Marking at the bottom: Modra MD and an engraved mark in the shape of a jug with initials MM MD (Miroslav Malinovský and Miroslav Durgala).
He apprenticed at the School of Applied Arts in Modra. He is dedicated to producing utility and decorative ceramics, using both majolica and pottery manufacturing techniques. He finds inspiration in the shapes and patterns of old Haban master craftsmen....
