Handmade red clay plate, thrown on a wheel. Low walls slightly concave, rim significantly curved upwards. Design: two stylized figures of a man, followed by the inscription: “totrok 1952”, a black spiral along the edge. Color scheme: colorful design on white background (blue, brown, black), black inscription. Colorless glaze. Marking: stamped PZ and spiral on the bottom.
The last Slovak master potter Michal Polaško-Garbar from Pozdišovce, born in 1883, discovered pottery through hollow ceramics in his father’s workshop. He started his own production in 1990.
