Pocket square.
Pocket square.
The product was created as part of the project “Folk costume as inspiration” under the auspices of the non-profit organization KIRA in cooperation with ÚĽUV. The aim of the project is to show that the folk costume is not just a historical artifact, but a living source of identity, pride, and creative inspiration.
The design was created by Pavol Polakovič (head of the folk costume and costume workshop of Lúčnica). The embroidery was inspired by a pattern from the sleeves that are part of the costume from the surroundings of Piešťany.
The embroiderer of the embroidery is master ĽUV Monika Kunová. The material used is thin cotton canvas, on which a smooth embroidery is made with a pearl.
The men’s ornamental pocket square with embroidery is intended for the breast pocket of a suit.
