The product was created within the project “Folk costume as inspiration” under the auspices of the non-profit organization KIRA in cooperation with ÚĽUV. The goal of the project is to show that folk costume is not just a historical artifact, but a living source of identity, pride, and creative inspiration.

The design was created by textile designer Kamila Zuščáková, the embroidery was inspired by a fragment from a bodice, which is part of the costume. Selected elements were sketched into lines and arranged into a simple repetition. The pattern is based on a floral motif, which is most commonly found in embroidery from the surroundings of Piešťany. The simple composition moves the pattern into contemporary design in a traditional rendition of smooth embroidery.

The embroidery was made by the master ÚĽUV Vlasta Žiaranová.

The product is intended to be worn around the neck – as a scarf, but can also be used as a hair scarf.
