About product
A set of six cups with saucers and a sugar bowl with a lid, all handcrafted on a pottery wheel. The cups with handles have a conical shape, fitting precisely into the dimensions of the saucer – a small plate. The sugar bowl has a wide base, with a narrow and shaped rim to accommodate the dome-shaped lid. The cups and sugar bowl are glazed with a covering white on the inside, dark blue glaze on the outside, with a hand-painted white decor in majolica technique. The saucers are glazed with dark blue glaze, with white circular decoration on the edge.
Vlastimil Havlíček trained at the Majolika Modra School of Applied Arts, where he worked for some time. In the 1980s, he became independent and worked for the ULUV (Center for Folk Art Production) as a majolica maker.
