The skirt is made of 4 trapezoidal pieces of hemp canvas. A woven band is sewn to the skirt, with a warp of hemp and a weft of white and red cotton. The weave is herringbone, and a decorative band of red cotton is woven with a twill. A braid made of hemp yarn is sewn to the upper part of the band, which, when pulled through a small embroidered hole, held the shirt on the woman’s body.
