The skirt is tailored from five panels of homemade canvas. The front panel made of thicker canvas has a slit in the middle. The panels are stitched with a simple connecting stitch, with the stitch wider and decorative at the lower edge. The upper part of the skirt, except for the front panel, is gathered and the gathering is secured with embroidery and stitching, creating decorative bands. The hem of the skirt is folded and the edge is sewn with a slip stitch. The whole skirt is sewn into a casing made of homemade hemp canvas.
