The skirt is made of mixed homemade canvas (hemp + cotton). The strong edge of the canvas forms the hem. It is gathered at the waist, the gathering is reinforced with embroidery. It is sewn into an envelope, which stitches the gathered edge and lines the gathered part. The gathering is done in an old-fashioned way, by hand while wet.
