Sleeves are sewn from two types of fabric, with the sleeves made from a thicker one and the front and back pieces from a thinner store-bought one. The sleeves are stitched with a curved needle using thicker cotton thread. The narrow collar is embroidered with little crosses. The sleeve ends are pleated, with a strip of fabric sewn over the pleats.
