Stoneware container – for filtered coffee, Collection “Kavej”
The handmade stoneware vessel consists of two parts. Vessels and coffee dripper. Glaze is used as the surface finish with subsequent firing imprint. The design was created by Mgr.art. Simona Duchoňová. The intention was to showcase folk craftsmanship in a fresh, contemporary light. To create a contrast between the handmade product and the text, which serves as decoration. The artwork refers to the connection of contemporary design and craftsmanship.
She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava in the Industrial Design Studio under the guidance of Associate Professor Ferdinand Chrenko. She has participated in several domestic and international exhibitions and competitions with her projects. In her work, she focuses on combining contemporary design with craftsmanship in order to complement each other
