Stoneware container – for milk, Collection “Kavej”
Handcrafted stoneware milk container. Glaze is used as surface treatment, followed by firing imprint. The design was created by Mgr.art. Simona Duchoňová. The intention was to showcase folk craftsmanship in a fresh contemporary light. To create a contrast between the handcrafted product and the text, which serves as decoration. The artwork refers to the connection between contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship.
She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava in the Industrial Design Studio under the guidance of Associate Professor Ferdinand Chrenko. She has participated in several domestic and international exhibitions and competitions with her projects. In her work, she focuses on combining contemporary design with craftsmanship in order to complement each other
