Women’s clothing – set
Sleeves are made of cotton factory canvas dyed with light blue indigo. The embroidery on the sleeves is divided by two rows of peasecod stitches, the rest of the composition is a dense pre-drawn plant ornament sewn with a satin stitch. Individual motifs of the ornament are outlined with a single strand of black muline stem stitch.
The bodice is made of brocade, lined with domestic cotton canvas. It is trimmed with wide floral ribbons, adorned with colorful sequins and glass beads. A green floral ribbon is sewn on the back. Buttons are sewn on the left side of the front piece. The bodice is likely not from Čataj. According to the cut and decoration, it belongs to the Piešťany costume.
The apron is made of black dye canvas. The bottom edge is frayed. Above the edge is a wide band of pre-drawn embroidery sewn with colorful cotton threads. The ornament is sewn with a satin and stem stitch. The upper part of the apron is pleated into one-way folds, which are stitched by a machine.
The scarf is made of white batiste. Three corners of the scarf are filled with embroidery. The edges are hemstitched, with pre-drawn plant ornament compositions in the corners. The embroidery is full and by eyelets. The embroidery thread is unspun silk.
