About product

Slippers PEŠKY represent a modern interpretation of traditional Slovak home footwear. The clean, slip-on form is inspired by historical “slippers” and connects the craft heritage with contemporary minimalist design. 100% wool felt brings natural warmth, comfort, and functionality.

The decoration on the upper – a delicate single-color wool embroidery – draws inspiration from traditional embroideries from the region of Piešťany, especially from sleeves and aprons with the typical grape motif and embroidered holes. The minimalist ornament stands out thanks to the contrast of surfaces and highlights the beauty of the original pattern. The color palette (white, yellow, blue) reflects the traditional costumes from the Piešťany region. The slippers carry the story of local tradition transformed into a modern form. They are designed for everyday wear in a home or spa environment, combining authentic expression with modern comfort.

Slippers made of 100% wool felt with an embroidered pattern are part of the wider collection of felt products “PEŠKY”. The collection was created within the joint project “Folk Costume as Inspiration”, organized by the Regional Innovation and Implementation Agency based in Piešťany, together with the Workshop of Folk Traditions and Crafts in Uherský Ostroh and the Center of Folk Art Production.

The slippers are the result of the work of a creative duo – Janka Motyčková is the author of the concept and embroidered pattern design, and Soňa Sadilková is the author of the slipper design. Soňa Sadilková – comp ART s.r.o. is the producer of the slippers, and the embroidery is done by the craftswoman ĽUV Monika Kunová.
