Borrowing service
All those interested in folk art production, traditional crafts and design are warmly welcomed in the ÚĽUV library. Any citizen of the Slovak republic or foreigner with permanent or temporary residence can register as a user and subsequently use the services provided according to the principles set out in the Library regulations.
Pre-registration
If you are not yet a user of the ÚĽUV library but would like to become one, you can register via the pre-registration form. You can complete the registration process the next time you visit the library. The price of registration is listed in the price list of the ÚĽUV library services.
Research service
Provided on the basis of verbal, telephone, print and electronic requests from users. They are made from EIRs (on-line catalogues, licensed and freely available databases) and from printed documents. They are charged on the basis of the price list of services of the ÚĽUV library.
Reservation of documents
If the requested document is currently on loan, there is an option to reserve it. Once you have returned the document you are interested in, you will receive a notification that the requested publication is ready for you to study either on a full-time or absentee basis within 5 working days. If you are unable to place a request directly from the electronic catalogue, please contact the library in person, by phone, or by e-mail.
Scanning service
Self-service scanning of a small number of pages from the documents in the library’s collection onto a storage medium (e.g. USB flash drive, external hard drive, digital camera memory card) is also available.
Interlibrary loan service (ILL)
The ÚĽUV library also provides interlibrary loan service in the form of an ILL application form.
Reference service
We provide visitors with information about the library collection and other library services. Questions directed to the library are answered in person, by phone, or by e-mail.
Internet and online catalogue
Registered users can browse the library’s electronic catalogue in the reading room, but also from their workplace or residence. Logging in to the system also allows you to directly submit a request for a loan through the online catalogue. If the document you are looking for is not in the ÚĽUV library’s collection, you can also search for it in the collection of libraries associated on the Slovak library portal.
Copy service
Paper copies are also available for library users. Copying services respect copyright law and copies are made for a fee.
