Exhibitions at the ÚĽUV Design Studio – GOODFOOD

Viera Kleinová

The GOODFOOD project was created in the Ceramics and Porcelain Studio (based in Dubí) of the Faculty of Utilitarian Art and Design of the University of J. E. Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem (Czech Republic). Its ambition is to support communication, independency and student activity. The project’s task is to create an arena for discussion, not only among students from various branches, schools and countries but also within the broader specialist as well as public contest, thus kindling interest in young design. Its task is to demonstrate new opportunities for cultivating dining culture, increase interest in the implementation of original and creative ideas, and to react to comprehensive solutions for the dining area. The project’s topic – dining – includes dining accessories at the ÚĽUV Design Studio, starting with drinking sets and including salt and pepper shakers, textiles as well as furniture elements. Twenty-two students from three universities participated in the competition – from Ústí nad Labem (Czech Republic), Halle (Germany) and Bratislava (Slovakia). The GOODFOOD Project enjoyed its second public and first foreign presentation.
