The IDENTITA SK exhibition presented the results of the research project of the same name, aiming to map out and describe what traditional material culture in Slovakia’s regions is alive and has perspective in terms of regional development. The focal point was to record the transformations in material culture. Their origin, contemporary forms and potential to connect with modern design and competitive technologies were studied, as well as their potential for sustainable development in the regions. The exhibition summarising the results of these efforts also reflects the forms of folklore in art, industry and pop culture, which can be considered a reaction to globalisation through various forms of search and awareness of collective and personal identity and integrity.
