This old and truthful saying has been tried and tested by life. However, for true enthusiasts, it is just another challenge and a goal for all their efforts. When Tomáš Mikolaj from ÚĽUV came to see me at the end of February to ask me whether I would take part in a meeting in Vrbovce (Myjava district) concerning the project of growing a willow plantation, I was surprised. It was more out of curiosity than interest that I went there with some friends, students of my basket-making course Peter Beňo and Štefan Oslej. On a piece of land next to the football pitch we met the basket-maker Miroslav Mareček from Vrbovce, whose idea it was to grow a willow plantation, and the mayor of the village, Dušan Eliáš.
