Folk craft production makes up a wide range of types of crafts which differ from one region of Slovak to another. In each type of production we can see how individual crafts developed and how they reflected the social situation. Many crafts disappeared over the decades, but many continue to exist even today. This is the case of Slovak folk majolica, which represents the ancient ceramics tradition in Modra (Pezinok district). Since its foundation, the workshop has been through various stages of development, all with a common goal: to preserve this unique local craft.
