The “Rings in Water” competition of craft-oriented design, organised by the Centre for Folk Art Production since 2000, was founded with the aim of supporting and bringing together the practical experience of craft production with contemporary design approaches. In addition to presenting current works of applied arts, artistic craft and design inspired by traditional art production or folk craft, it also tries to popularise and present works by professionals and talented students whose work follows the principles of the choice of material, using original or innovative approaches or else an original aesthetic form.
