Design Studio ÚĽUV, the gallery of applied arts in Bratislava, has opened an exhibition of graduation projects made by the students of ceramics studio at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, namely the project Glory box of Simona Janišová and Folksy by Monika Brzá. Both authors get inspiration from traditions; however, they have produced two specific and different works. Simona Janišová understands the tradition of wedding set for a bride as a starting point for her work. Monika Brzá focuses on formal aspects and gets inspiration from the traditional folk decorating technique of smoke ceramics. Simona produces the varied collection of ceramic accessories. Monika comes with the collection of visually and tactually interesting items.
