On 22 September 2015 there will be an exhibition opening in the ÚĽUV Design Studio presenting jointly two young designers. Pavol Capik and Martin Žabka will be confronting their creative methods until 31 January 2016.
Martin Žabka (1987) has been active as an industrial designer in Bratislava, simultaneously devoting himself to free creation in product design focusing on small series. His work is a link between industrial minimalism, from the formal point of view, and the variance of nature or resources that are available, giving it a witty accent. In his list he has a host of workshops, international exhibitions, study stays and commercial cooperations.
Pavol Capik (1984) is a product designer active at the University of Technology in Košice as a lecturer in the Innovation Studio. He characterises his work as „contemporary design connected with the tradition“. What he considers important is to create such values that might inspire and provoke the re-discovery of crafts in the design. Therefore, his designs are characteristic for their precise craftsmanship, logic, elegance and tranquil beauty of the resulting object.
