Rosette, the flower of life, the six-branched rose, the star of Bethlehem, seal of Solomon, star of Perun, Celtic rose, sun of the Alps, Slav sun, Svarga… Different names for the same pattern. In a historical context, it appears in different cultures almost everywhere around the world. By examining its position on artefacts from previous periods, we can assume that this pattern merged with its meaning, becoming a symbol which is most often interpreted as apotropaic (offering magical protection), a symbol of prosperity or also of victory. Its geometrical perfection makes it an expression of the inner structure of creation, and for this reason it is also considered as a symbol of rebirth.
