Libuša Jaďuďová
A unique collection of documentation on folk costumes, containing written, photographic and drawn materials on around ninety types of traditional clothing in Slovakia can be found in the Museum of Folk Art Production in Stupava (MĽUV). This is the largest amount of archival material of this sort. It is the basis for the production of folk costumes and also serves as study material for specialist staff, ethnographers, designers and all those interested in traditional clothing. One of the sections of folk costume documentation is called great decoration. This is a collection of 1009 drawings of various sizes which show parts of clothing in their actual size, focusing on ornamentation, on its position on the item of clothing and on its cut.
