The design competition focusing on craft, known as Rings in Water, is organised every two years. The focus on folk art production and craft is a natural result of the Centre for Folk Art Production’s mission itself. Since its beginnings, it has been characterised by close cooperation with craftspeople and producers. Since the mid-1990s, this communication has also been opening up towards young creators, designers and artists. Through them, ÚĽUV tries to connect the potential of traditional production with a contemporary approach to craft. The Rings in Water competition is the clearest evidence of this attitude.
