One of the tasks of ÚĽUV since its establishment has been awarding the specialist degree for abilities to folk artists and awarding the title of Master of Folk Art Production. During more than half a century of activities, the specialist committee has awarded this title to more than 330 personalities. In 2005 nine producers received this title from various areas of folk art production, who we would like to present now. The conditions for the specialist abilities of a master of folk art production is an exquisite ability for traditional production, the ability to master a complicated technique, independent creative activity, and at least 10 years of continuous practise in a particular field of folk art production.
