Coverlet with trakovice appliqué. The motifs are cut out from white cotton canvas and appliquéd on a canvas of ochre color. Trakovice appliqué (“laid work”) is known in the Trnava region from around the mid-19th century. It was used to decorate clothing and home textiles.
