The skirt is made of five panels of domestic linen canvas. The panels, except for the front one, are pleated along the entire length into one-sided folds and the waistband is sewn into a casing. The skirt is machine-sewn, and the waistband is hand-sewn. The skirt was worn sewn with a bodice.
