The sleeves are made of homemade canvas. They have embroidery with a crooked needle on the sleeves. The embroidery is sewn with thicker cotton thread. The upper part is gathered and sewn into a small collar, embroidered with little crosses. The sleeve ends are folded, the folds on one sleeve are fixed by sewing a strip of canvas. The strip is removed from the other sleeve. Girls used to get married in such sleeves at the end of the 19th century.
